Maryam Sultan, MD

About

Maryam Sultan, MD, is a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist treating patients with pelvic floor disorders. Her focus is on nonsurgical treatment options, including minimally invasive interventions. She takes a patient-centered approach to care and creates an individualized treatment plan for every patient. She pays close attention to her patient’s responses to various treatment methods and tailors each patient’s care with the goal of restoring function in multiple areas of life. She is an active listener and works hard to maintain a safe space for all of her patients.

Sultan is an assistant professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.

She received her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 2014. She completed her residency at Baylor College of Medicine in 2018.

Sultan is a member of the International Pelvic Pain Society, the Academy of Academic Physiatrists, and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, cheering her kids on at their activities, and expanding her palate through delicious food.
