I left in more pain than I got there with. They should have given me pain medicine before the procedure instead of after. I hurt the entire time I was laying there. I was in tears leaving. The pain medicine they gave me after I left helped and I needed it before the procedure, not after.

Dr Pak is an exceptional doctor with exceptional manor of treatment, and discussing and listening to my medical history, knowing the more he learned, the better he could treat me, really cared about why I was there and sincerely wanting to set a plan to help me...I am very lucky to have found him!

His assistant was wonderfully, and helped by explaining everything.

I can describe my experience in one word, WOW. Every nurse was really friendly, explained every step of the process, and treated me with care and respect. Dr. Pak was also just fantastic. This was very likely the best experience with a surgical procedure I've ever had in my life. Kudos to the care team members and to all those that have trained them and allowed them the time for me to have such a pleasant experience. I was the first person Dr. Pak had that morning and I was in and out in a jiffy. The only feedback for improvement that I have is that I really think I could have driven myself to and from this procedure with no problems at all. I suspect it is a liability issue but since it was just a shot to my back using a local anastesia shot, I would have been able to drive myself. I was alert all the way home and was even able to stop for breakfast on the way home with my ride and had no problems at all. Food for thought for this type of procedure in the future. I would to happy to sign a waver about driving myself in the future. As a single person, getting a ride at 07:30 can be an issue. Food for thought.

Not happy at all regarding how things are done! My husband is in a lot of pain and has been for a while now. Between going to the doctors, ER and specialists and finally get to the pain doctor and he has to wait even longer to get injections due to the way the company has this set up. $20 here, $40 there and not to mention $250 for ER visits and still no resolve. Missing work because some days he cannot walk and as a matter of fact he had to miss today because of it and he was just at the doctor yesterday. Going through all of this only to have to wait until insurance approve the "procedure" Another $40!! We are not rich and this makes no sense! Why does he have to come back, miss more time at work to get an injection that he should had been able to get YESTERDAY!!! Medical care has turned into a money train and it is ridiculous! I have had to get injections in my back and at that appointment, it was done. I never had to wait and come back! I am under the Methodist umbrella and I plan on pulling him over with me! This is our experience has been going. Dr. Pak and his assistant Dedra, very nice. Dr. Pak listened and explained and gave options. He was very patient and I know he would have if he could have but because the way it is set up with UT, he could not. I would recommend him to anyone but I just do not care for all the changes between Memorial Hermann and UT at all. CT scans, X-rays and MRI expenses later and we still in the same position.
