Timothy C. Borden, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained pediatric orthopedic surgeon specializing in pediatric scoliosis and spine disorders, trauma, fractures, neuromuscular and congenital conditions, and complex hip, limb, and foot deformities.
He completed two fellowship training programs: pediatric orthopedic surgery at Harvard University/Boston Children’s Hospital and pediatric spine deformity surgery at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.
Borden is an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.
He’s passionate about delivering excellent pediatric orthopedic care. His research interests include scoliosis, pediatric spine deformity, pediatric trauma, and patient safety.

Yes, I love Timothy Borden. He walked me through everything as a first-time mother with a pediatric with his broken arm and I just loved the guy. He was outstanding guy. He kept me everything that I asked. He walked me right through it so I'm very very appreciative of him and I like the way that he had walked me through everything when he was doing his surgery and what he's telling me was coming up next his next appointment.

Everyone that we met with during my son's visit was great. We were greeted by one of the women at the front desk in such a welcoming manner and she worked efficiently to get us checked in. The two medical assistants who walked us to the examination room and took my son's X-rays asked questions to get enough information and understanding of the reason for our visit. They were super attentive. And Dr. Borden gave exceptional care. My son felt comfortable talking to him and I felt assured that he cared and listened to all of our questions and concerns. My son and I left the visit feeling very confident in Dr. Borden's care. We are very satisfied with our overall experience.
Every thing about our experience was wonderful. Dr Borden has an amazing bed side manner, his colleagues are helpful and genuinely care. I have absolutely nothing to complain about.
The end of visit check out process is unsual, we were told to go back out to the lobby after the visit, and to get in line behind other patients that needed to check, and wait to be checked out, I've never had this experience with any other UT doctors offices, the Doctor and nurse were awesome, the check out process could be improved.
The wait time was extremely short.

Dr Borden is always listens to my concerns about my daughter's needs and goes over all possibilities for treatment. By far he is the most down to earth doctor I've ever met. He takes his time to make sure we feel comfortable and knowledgeable about the treatments

We are grateful that Patricia went above and beyond her role when she answered my call. We took our daughter to the ER Tuesday and after 8 hours she was sent home with two slings that did not fit her. Our daughter was in a lot of pain. I was able to schedule an orthopedic through UT for the following week. I kept calling in the morning hoping someone would see her sooner. On Friday Patricia answered and took our case personal. She reached out to two of the Orthopedics and Dr. Borden's team took her in that day. I am grateful for Dr. Borden and his team. They took their time to fully explain and clearly show the breakage and displacement of her humerus. He clearly explained our options for recuperating and placed a plan into action. This Friday we will have another X-ray and see if it's healing properly. The whole team took care of her and she left there with a cast, her arm stabilized, and wearing the sling we bought online since none from the ER worked. Now she is no longer in pain and her normal self.

Dr Bordan made sure to listen carefully to my 17 year old daughter and made sure to reassure her that he believed her symptoms and showed empathy for how she might be feeling about her symptoms.

My son was seen by Dr Borden. The appointment was easy to get, the wait time was about five minutes, the staff was very friendly and helpful and Dr Borden is really an amazing person, he explained everything very well, he is so knowledgeable and friendly. I definitely recommend Dr Borden to anyone.

Everything was fine during the visit.
We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Borden from the front staff to the assistants to the doctor to the nurses, the people that put on the cast, everyone was wonderful.
Wait time was longer than extending waiting area but service and doctor were great.
This time a female doctor who works with the doctor came and was very kind and good.
Everything was good.
