Thomas J. Murphy, M.D., is associate dean of community affairs and health policy at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). He also serves as the chief medical officer for UT Physicians community-based clinics, which is the clinical practice of McGovern Medical School.
Dr. Murphy graduated with a BS in psychology from Dalhousie University, Canada. His medical degree was granted by the Dalhousie University Medical School.
His clinical interests include: population health, social determinants of care, clinical data analytics and continuous quality improvement, as it relates to patient care.
Dr. Murphy is also a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
