Steven E. Canfield, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained urologist who treats adult men and women with urological conditions. He strives to provide his patients with the highest level of care and treat them as he would his family members.
Canfield is a professor and the CR Bard Inc./Edward J. McGuire, MD, Distinguished Chair in the Department of Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. He’s also the Cecil M. Crigler Chair of the Division of Urology at the medical school.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family.

With the biopsy, it was excellent. The people worked, Tiffany and the lady who works with the anesthesia, I can't remember her name, they went over and above for us to get us there because we live out of state. We live in Louisiana. They were kind, courteous. They didn't, on our end, our doctors didn't give them the proper information. They worked diligently to get it so we can have that procedure. And it was a wonderful situation. Needless to say that my husband do have cancer. And we're in stage two, so he gave us options and explained it to us what we can do and we'll do that. And I would just say it was just a wonderful experience under the circumstances. His whole staff, thank you.
Everything was great!! The only thing is the hospital not being in network (Humana) The doctor and staff were very friendly and professional

Doc Canfield is an outstanding provider!
Dr. Canfield is the fourth Urologist I have seen in the last year. Out of the four he is only the second who made me feel like he listened and answered my questions as I would expect. I feel like I will be able to continue to put my trust in him. Also, his associates, nurses, etc. have all been great. All persons working at this UT Physicians office have been very nice. They make the long drive coming from out of town worth the effort.
The patient is always first.The staff is kind and concerning.
Dr Canfield is always completely respectful and kind. He always answers all my questions and explains everything to me and my family. His whole staff is always nice how he found a complete kind understanding staff I don't know but all of his patients are blessed. I trust him with my life.

I transferred to Memorial Herman from another group because of Dr Steven Canfield. After watching most of his videos, I was highly impressed by his portfolio. When my wife and I met with him, he took his time to thoroughly explain my next options. He is genuinely caring and truly concerned about his patients. I now feel confident that I am in good hands.
