The meeting with Dr. Blackburn went excellent. He was very, very informative. He told me what to expect before, during, after surgery. He told me about recovery. He told me what not to do physically to make sure I protect myself. He was very, very good, very, very knowledgeable and very caring. I would recommend it 100%.

Review for Dr. S. Blackburn - A Life-Saving Neurosurgeon with Unparalleled Excellence It is difficult to put into words the depth of my gratitude for Dr. S. Blackburn and the extraordinary care he has provided me over the past eight years. From my very first emergency care, it was evident that I was in the hands of a truly exceptional neurosurgeon-one whose expertise, compassion, and dedication to his patients go far beyond the norm. Dr. Blackburn quite literally saved my life. His skillful diagnosis and treatment of my brain aneurysm not only gave me a second chance but set me on a journey that has gained both local and national attention. My treatment and recovery have been featured in two magazine articles, highlighted on national television, and even taken to the halls of Congress, where I had the honor of advocating for Elle's Law-an initiative aimed at improving research, early detection, and support for those affected by brain aneurysms. Over the years, Dr. Blackburn has remained steadfast in his commitment to my health. Every visit has been marked by his thorough attention to detail, his ability to explain complex medical issues in an understandable way, and-most importantly-his genuine concern for my well-being. He doesn't just treat conditions; he treats people. His kindness, patience, and unwavering support have made an otherwise terrifying medical journey one that I could navigate with confidence. Beyond his expertise as a surgeon, Dr. Blackburn is a remarkable human being. He fosters a level of trust that is rare in the medical field, ensuring that his patients feel heard, respected, and prioritized. Whether it was preparing me for a procedure, monitoring my progress, or simply offering reassurance, he has been a constant source of guidance and comfort. Because of Dr. Blackburn's life-saving intervention and continued care, I am here today, not just surviving, but thriving. My case has become a testament to the importance of medical advancements in aneurysm treatment, and I am proud to use my story to help advocate for those who may not yet know they need the same life-saving care. I owe so much of that to him. For anyone in need of a neurosurgeon, I cannot recommend Dr. S. Blackburn highly enough. He is not only a master of his craft but a true advocate for his patients. He saved my life, and I am forever grateful.

Dr Blackburn was very thorough with lots of experience and impressive 3D imaging presentation of the exact location of my colloidal cyst in my brain explaining the risks involved if surgery is needed, and demonstrating no enlargement since 2023 CT scan image. I felt very relieved that no surgery was needed at this time and to be reevaluated further in one years time.
