Siddharth K. Prakash, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained cardiologist specializing in cardiovascular and adult congenital heart disease. His clinical interests center on bicuspid aortic valve, thoracic aortic aneurysm, and Turner syndrome in patients 17 years and older.

I was very impressed with everyone I saw on March 18. Scheduling the cardiac MRI that Dr. Prakash ordered, however, was an enormously frustrating experience. I must have called five different phone numbers and spent well over an hour trying to schedule. Memorial Hermann must do better.
Dr. Prakash and his assistant are very great at communicating. He stays in the office and listens to everything you have to say. He even keeps you going with questions. I mean, it's just unbelievable how great Dr. Prakash is and the people working for him. They're all very, very great. Anytime I email with a question, they get right back to me and help me. My doctor was quite impressive. He's a real expert on my disorders, and his recommendations are positively life changing. He is easy to talk to, and I enjoyed meeting him. Very personable. I have two suggestions having to do with travelers to your facilities: 1. Consider providing visitors a map of your facility. I don't think I ever found your cafeteria, but I eventually found a small "cafe" soup/sandwich shop. 2. I traveled on the city bus (#73) from the airport, and then had to transfer to the trains shortly before reaching your facility. I'm wondering if you can partner with the bus system to improve things for visitors like me? There was no bus pass ticket machine at the airport, nor was there a map of the routes. I ended up approaching someone waiting for the bus who explained things and gave me his bus pass. I think this route could be a real asset for many of your visitors since it's convenient and so inexpensive. I did see your advertisements at the airport, and I thought giving people options on how to get to UT Health would make a lot of sense. The buses, themselves, could use some improvement, too, but that's a different matter.
