About

Sheng Li, MD, is a professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth. He received his medical degree from Beijing Medical University and completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at UTHealth Houston.

Li’s primary clinical focus is on spasticity management and rehabilitation after neurological impairments. He works primarily with patients who have suffered a stroke or a traumatic brain injury. Outside of his clinical practice, Li does research in sensory and motor recovery after neurological impairments. He has published more than 140 peer-reviewed articles on topics related to his research.

Li is a member of the Association of Academic Physiatrists, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the Society for Neuroscience.
