Improved workflow for KED genetic testing, it's not ideal to leave the appointment to ship/locate a FEDEX drop off of your own kit without clarity on if covered by insurance and pricing if not covered. Or time/temp allowance to ensure the sample will meet testing criteria. Unclear if the correct or sufficient ICD screening codes were selected to ensure no delay in testing or again coverage by BCBS.

The provider was very good and the meeting was fine. I am glad it ended up being a virtual call because for me to drive all the way down to the medical center for this 15 or less minute call would have been a complete waste of my time. In addition, we met with a nephrologist at the fetal center before meeting with this nephrologist. We were as well in the NICU for 80 days. This appointment was very elementary and it encapsulated maybe an eighth of what we already know about my daughter's health condition. It frankly was a waste of my time. That is not the provider's fault. I'm not sure whose fault it is, but the provider was fine. The meeting itself was a waste of my time and it felt like a gross misuse of my insurance. It was a waste of my insurance company money.
