Ron J. Karni, MD, is a board-certified otorhinolaryngologist specializing in the management of benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck, including throat cancer, oral cancer, larynx cancer, locally advanced skin cancer, salivary gland tumors, and thyroid/parathyroid disease. He performs transoral robotic surgery for tumors of the throat, a modern approach to minimizing the side effects of treatment for throat cancer. He also performs ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration biopsy for thyroid nodules and minimally invasive thyroid and parathyroid surgery.
Karni is also an associate professor in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.
He has also coauthored several articles on practical tools to integrate evidence-based methods into the daily practice of medicine.

Very frustrated that have not received pathology report from surgery which occurred 7 days ago. I would really like to know whether the results are in progress or whether there is a backlog or some other problem. I spent over $100 in round-trip Uber charges to get to and from Medical Center and have nothing to show from this appointment except a promise from the Doctor that he will call me directly when the results are in.
Dr. Karni and his staff always provide a professional and caring atmosphere. I trust my life with his care.

Check in and out was quick and with pleasant people. The wait was a few minutes. I saw Dr Karni, Rachel Zuckman, and Dr Gutierrez. All of these professionals are very good at what they do and I highly recommend them.

Dr. Karni is very personable and professional and we like him. Most of the staff are really awesome. We just had one individual that was really rude and maybe she was having a bad day, but we've been there a few times and everything was accommodated. So I'd have to say overall we're very pleased because we worked in on a last-minute basis. So we're happy. I never give anybody a perfect score, but you all did a good job, so we're happy. Thank you.
