Rajarshi Pratihar, AuD, MHA, is an experienced, board-certified audiologist who seamlessly blends his heartfelt compassion with cutting-edge technology to provide personalized patient care.
At The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, he dedicated over a decade to oncologic hearing care, was instrumental in the development of the oncologic audiology fellowship, and played a pivotal role in ototoxicity monitoring for oncologic clinical trials.
Pratihar, who is also the director of audiology with McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, received his master’s degree at the University of Houston-Clear Lake in Healthcare Administration/Business Administration with a focus on enhancing efficiency, access, and affordability in health care. He also earned his doctorate from East Tennessee State University after foundational training at the University of Calcutta. He furthered his expertise at esteemed institutions such as the Henry Ford Health System and the University of Michigan.
When not seeing patients, he’s an active Houston community volunteer, involved in the Houston Rodeo, and enjoys horseback riding.

They didn't tell me about the wait because I was very early and they took me back early.
The dr. Was fine but the ut referral was for the wrong type of doctor. He could not tell me anything about what I went in for. Waist of time and money

I had a wonderful experience with Rajarshi Pratihar. He treated me with so much respect and genuine care, especially knowing about my fears of heights. The office is on the 27th floor. He were incredibly patient and went out of their way to calm me down, making the entire process so much easier and less stressful. I'm very,very satisfied with this my first visit with this Dr. There was minimum wait time and maximum courtesy from staff and doctor from check in to checkout. The young lady at the check in and out desk was extraordinarily pleasant and cordial.
Dr. Raj was wonderful in testing my hearing, taking the molds for the ear plugs I want to buy, and informing me about the process of picking up the plugs when they arrive.
Every thing was great

One time appointment -- provider was excellent --
I was told ahead of time that he could adjust my hearing aids but then found out he couldn't adjust my brand. So a wasted trip to the Med Center.
This was the best experience with a practice so far. The entire staff was courteous and extremely efficient. Both Dr [...] and the audiologist Rajarshi Protihar provided excellent care as well as being attentive. They answered all my questions and I did not feel rushed at any time.
Everybody was prompt and courteous. They took care of me.
