Hated the drive back to Humble leaving the office at 3:30. 1.5 hour drive. I need to reschedule the next appointment to a late morning or early afternoon to avoid morning and afternoon rush hour traffic

The doctor explained things very well. He knows who I am. He treats me well, and you give me recommendations. You always do me a world of good.

The receptionist who picked up the call was not helpful at all. I was frantic explaining an emergency situation to her, she showed no urgency, and told us she would tell the clinic staff to call us back. We heard nothing back and called again. Wouldn't even say she would attempt to help us resolve the situation. Instead stated that she would relay the message and the clinic nurse/doc will call us back like a robot. Her tone of was voice was honestly not providing any kind of comfort or reassurance at all. I called her again today to request an appointment and not understanding the emergency or the situation, she immediately brushed me off without even attempting to help me. Next, the doctor's assistant was extremely RUDE. Explaining the situation to her after the call back on 3/19 - She kept cutting me off, talking over us, randomly putting us on hold without even stating that we were going to be put on hold. After we did the needful as advised by the doctor, my mother was still not better. So, we called the doctor as he advised. The receptionist passed the message onto the clinic staff and the same assistant called us back. She asked why I called and as I explained the situation to her, she cut me off and in an unfriendly tone kept saying "what do you want me to do? I'm not understanding what you're saying" in a discourteous and brusque manner. I have never felt this helpless in my life and the least that can be done is for them to at least be kind enough to attempt at assisting me. I understand if it's something minor, but I am seeing my mom having seizure like symptoms and shortness of breath feeling completely helpless. It would be helpful if there is at least a strategy in place to assist patients who call for an emergency. Especially when you're watching your loved one with a device embedded in their brain having extreme dyskinesia. We were not advised on turning off the device or anything before we left the office after it was initially tuned on, but told us to message them on the portal for any issues. However, in this situation, without the office responding, the only thing we could do was turn the device off blindly without even knowing if it was okay to do so. What would have been the situation if the patient lived alone? It's ridiculous that there no one on call or an emergency department ready to immediately assist patients in a situation, especially where you're dealing with the brain. If my mother was in danger after what happened yesterday, honestly I would take this whole department to court. This is not the first time this has happened. Previously, we had an issue where the doctors office would not even respond or call back until it was escalated to the communications director/manager. The escalation helped initially, and as promised the communication did seem to improve slightly. However, it looks like we're back to zero.

They couldn't access my records from utmb which included my mri! That would have been helpful! My wait time was less than a minute, very impressed with Dr, Fellows, and staff

Both of them were very attentive in answering all my questions. They also took notes on everything discussed during the visit.

Hi, you could help with parking situations, exactly which garage to park in for which doctors. And almost everyone that saw us walk helped and it was wonderful. There was a lady in the neuro ICU where the patients are, her name was Tiffany, I think, and she walked us to where we had to go. It was very nice of her. We were late for our appointment because of being lost and the provider saw us anyway. So that was very special. I love the care that we receive at your hospital. Thank you. Bye.

Met my exectations

Feb 4, 2025

I don't know why my neurologist referred me there. Of course I don't understand how things work in a clinical setting but for me it seemed like a waste of time and money. I imagine I'm not seeing the bigger picture but it would be nice to at least get a thumbnail image of what is going on. I have questions but don't know that I've been given any answers. I also don't know that any information from Dr. Brown was handed over, especially since one of the interns who initially saw me questioned why I was there and telling me (paraphrasing) Why are you here? This is a movement disorder clinic.

Feb 4, 2025

He made me fell like I was the only thing on his mind and my well-being was his main concern
