About

Pranathi A. Gullapalli, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist and fellowship-trained pain management specialist with expertise in treating various pain conditions. Her clinical interests include managing chronic neck pain, chronic back pain, sciatica, neuropathy, degenerative disc disease, joint pain, abdominal pain, headaches, and more. She uses a patient-centered, multidisciplinary approach to care, combining medical management and minimally invasive procedures to offer the best possible outcome for her patients. She’s dedicated to offering personalized, compassionate treatment plans and helping patients improve their quality of life. Her goal is to empower patients to live with less pain and greater function.

She’s also an assistant professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.

She received her medical degree from The George Washington University and completed her residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She furthered her training with a fellowship at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine, where she refined her skills in advanced pain management techniques.

She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Anesthesiology, the Texas Pain Society, the North American Neuromodulation Society, and the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience.
