Patrick J. Kellam, MD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery with McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. He specializes in orthopedic trauma and adult reconstruction. He has a special interest in the management of all fractures, both acute and chronic, as well as periprosthetic fractures and post-traumatic arthritis of the hip and knee.
Kellam received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2016. He completed his residency at the University of Utah before completing two subspecialty fellowships in orthopedic trauma at UTHealth Houston and adult reconstruction of the hip and knee at the University of Utah.
Kellam is actively involved with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, the AO Foundation, and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.

I was surprised that the appointment happened on time. I didn't wait more than 5 minutes. The receptionist called my ride and it was there just as I finished my visit. Except for the medical center construction chaos, the visit was extremely efficient.

This is my first time visiting Dr. Kellam's office since being in the hospital and him performing more than one surgery on my infected hip. I have an autoimmune disease and have visited many dr's offices in my lifetime, however, I've never been to one where the doctor and his assistant were so thorough and kind. They both listened attentively to EVERY concern I had and then took time to address each one. I never felt rushed or that they were in a hurry to get me to leave. I could go on and on, but I feel blessed to have found a doctor and staff to treat my infection and work so diligently and with such care to try and help me save my leg. A thousand "thank you's" would never be enough to explain the gratitude in my heart for what they have done for me and how they have treated me.
Dr. Kellam an excellent doctor, an excellent listener, and I would not hesitate to recommend him.
Everytime I have interacted with my provider or someone within tbe practice everything is explained in a way I can understand and I always know what to expect . I'm also treated with exceptional kindness and compassion.

The Orthopedic Surgery Physicians Office was and is uncomfortably cold. Staff told me that they had no thermostat and no control over excessive cold or excessive heat. I was there for over an hour and it was unreasonably cold!
