Dr. Promecene was born and raised in Houston, Texas and is a graduate from the University of Texas, McGovern Medical School. She enjoys providing care for women of all ages and she believes that patient education is key to strong doctor-patient relationship. She embraces the philosophy that knowledge empowers and knowledge about your health empowers individuals to live a healthy lifestyle.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 daughters, gardening and long distance running.

I went to the front desk to ask about a referral. This is where I met Ms. Jaylaudny Jones who is the kindest, most helpful, and wonderful staff member! Ms. Jones made a copy of the doctors' names so I could read bios on the website. Then walked me over to their office so I could meet admin staff and wrote everything I would need to make appt to be screened and later enrolled in a weight loss program. Ms. Jones took time to talk with me, showed genuine care, and the utmost professionalism. She is intelligent, hard-working, and caring as demonstrated in the way she treated me and worked so well with her colleagues. I hope you recognize Ms. Jones for being a great employee because she is!

I love this particular practice. Always timely, clean, easy parking, spacious (so sick people aren't all around healthy people). Best practice ever!!!! I had the option of changing my insurance plan to one that offered more coverage, but it didn't cover this practice. I chose to keep my old plan to stay w this fantastic practice!
This was my first time to see Dr. Promecene. She was very informative and knowledgeable. She had specific knowledge about issues in the older population as well as generally. She explained all of her actions before taking them, helpful in reducing my anxiety. She took plenty of time to answer all of my questions fully. She gave me options for my care, empowering me to make my own choices.

Doctor and Assistant were very informative and patient centered. I wish they could complete my treatment, but I need the next level of mid-invasive procedure and they referred me to your Sugar Land offices.
The new location & new computer system & poor staffing made a longer wait time than I've ever had over many years with this doctor. However, this doctor is so good about taking time to talk about any concern and explaining everything so well. that it is worth the wait. I'm not a fan of this newish building/facility - the layout is poor, the wayfinding is terrible, signage is poor, and the paper-thin walls allow too much sound transmission.
Dr. Promecene and her nurse are very responsive to my portal messages and are very helpful. I really appreciate the UT Portal for brief interactions and information.
Dr. Cook was a joy to meet. She has a gentle and caring manner about her. She provided me with lots of information, and even ordered additional services she felt I needed. I enjoyed meeting her and her staff, and will definitely return.
