Omar E. Sandoval, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, is a nurse practitioner in the Department of Internal Medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. He has two decades of nursing experience with a background in critical care, home health, surgery, and ambulatory care. Sandoval is excited to showcase his expertise as a nurse practitioner while treating teens, adults, and seniors.
Sandoval wants to make sure care includes collaboration. His duty is to serve and guide people through periods of wellness and illness. He enjoys problem-solving and finding the root cause for issues. Sandoval’s areas of interest include metabolic disorders like diabetes and minor thyroid disease, preventive care, and health coaching. He truly cares about every individual he encounters and his goal is for the absolute best outcome, whatever the circumstances. Sandoval hopes to empower all of his patients with the knowledge and skills they need to maintain longevity and harmony in their lives.
His favorite activities include cooking, reading, listening to music, movies, and lifelong learning.
