Dr. Nadya Dhanani is board certified in both anesthesiology and pain management, specializing in interventional pain management. Her clinical interests include all aspects of pain medicine, and her primary focus is treating spinal and cancer-related pain.
Dr. Dhanani earned her bachelor’s in biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and her medical degree at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore. She completed her internship training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and her residency in anesthesiology at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she served as chief resident. In addition, she was an instructor at Harvard Medical School and served on clinical faculty in the department of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Dhanani relocated to Houston to complete her fellowship in pain medicine at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Dhanani has expertise in all aspects of interventional pain management, including:

I requested a appointment in Mychart for a steroid injection. There was no response, so I called and requested it again. Nobody responded or got back to me. I had to wait till I had an appointment with the doctor to have it scheduled. In the past before the assistant (forget her name) left, I never had a problem.When I mentioned this to the nurse after my injection on 3/6, she seemed offended and became unpleasant.
Well, I think Dr. Dhanani is one of the best doctors the university of physicians have, and she's very special, and I like her. And thank you very much. Goodbye.
