Misti Ellsworth, DO, said it was an experience as a child that led her to a career in medicine.
“I had a really good pediatrician,” explained Dr. Ellsworth, assistant professor of pediatrics at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth. “In fact, my mother still talks about him today. He made a huge impact on my family.”
During medical school, Dr. Ellsworth was drawn to the field of pediatrics by the children she was able to interact with while a student. “I was inspired by their resilience. It made me want to be a part of that experience.”
When Dr. Ellsworth isn’t in a clinic, she said she is chasing her three children. “I would say becoming a mother definitely made me a more empathetic pediatrician. I understand the challenges.”
In her spare time, she enjoys reading and traveling.

Drs are very patient with PT. Helped us right away
Miss Dr. Misti Ellsworth and her team have gone above and beyond anything. I could ever expect. I've been dealing with this issue with my daughter for two months. Now. I'm at , I met Misti at the hospital and where my daughter was a patient and they have worked tiredly to trying to figure out what was wrong with my daughter so far as much as I mean, I have a Misti's cellphone number. So I'm able to text her anytime that there's a question any when there's any results. She lets me know. She keeps me in the loop. It's been I've never had any sort of service like this from any sort of doctor. And I really appreciate it.
Everyone was very kind to my daughter, and they were always aware of what she needed. Thank you very much everyone.
Hi, my visit was great and the doctor was fabulous, visit was great. My issue that I've had has been after the visit. My daughter was prescribed two prescriptions and they were electronically sent to the [...] on [...]. [...] did not receive them via the electronic system. And we did not know that until the weekend. So I sent a message through the portal and it was read and viewed by staff at [...]. I'm sorry, [...][...] morning, and I had called the pharmacy around [...] o'clock [...] afternoon and they still did not have the prescriptions. So no one did anything about it. My daughter woke up this morning complaining about a sore throat, which is why we saw the doctor in the first place because of reoccurring strep. And these prescriptions are trying to eradicate the strep. I can't get the prescriptions because no one from the office will reply to my message, number 1 or call the pharmacy to get these prescriptions called in.
I really liked the way my child treated me.
Misti G. Ellsworth, DO explained everything so well, I would recommend her anytime. She made me feel better after telling me what the medical plan was going to be for my [...] yr old.
They were all very nice!
Dr. Is extremely nice to the children frenzy and always willing to answer questions and concerns about your child's health.
