Megan Williams, PA-C, is a physician assistant in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.
She specializes in sports medicine, general orthopedics, and trauma. Williams joined the UT Physicians Orthopedics team in 2021 and works alongside Kenneth Mathis, MD, a fellowship-trained adult reconstruction surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacements.
She received her bachelor’s degree in health from Texas A&M University in 2013 and her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from The University of Texas Medical Branch in 2016. Furthermore, she has experience working in orthopedics both in Plano, Texas as well as the Houston area.
Outside of work, Williams is very involved with her church. She also enjoys camping, hiking, sand volleyball, and spending time with friends and family.

Megan was awesome. She examined the knee and she measured the degree to which the knee could bend. It was like she anticipated my questions based on the information she provided. She alleviated some concerns I had about the numbness on the side of the incision. She made me feel great of my progress. She has such a sweet spirit to be warm and welcoming so early in the day. Dr. Mathis has an awesome team.

First , Tammy Leonard is Fantastic ! She has helped me navigate insurance , appointments , follow up questions and setup my post PT. She is 100% the reason I chose UT Health and Dr. Mathis . The facility and staff are amazing . Dr. Mathis is a wonderful surgeon . 2 weeks post op and I feel great . Walking , no swelling . His protocol works for pre surgery and post surgery , follow it and you won't have issues .
Everything went well. The only thing that I wish that I had asked or clarified is what to expect at home after the surgery. If a person lives alone, do they need to have someone there? I should have asked those questions, but I didn't think about it until after I got home and actually someone asked me about how the recovery would work at home. So a little more information about what's going to happen at the conclusion of the surgery.
All staffs are helpful . The PA and Doctor are so good. Had lots of patience and answered all my questions. I will recommend this Doctor to anyone

I can't put into words how much I trust Dr Mathis and all his staff!!! Dr Mathis and his staff is the Best of the Best. He replaced both of my knees, the last knee surgery was January 2024 and on January 7th, 2025 he replaced my right hip!!! Before surgery I was in so much pain in the morning of surgery Dr. Mathis asked do you trust me and I replied most definitely. All my pain disappeared. I feel very blessed to have found Dr Kenneth Mathis!!! Dr Mathis, you are amazing and in thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!
