Best care ever!! I definitely want to mention nurse Karen Mallow. She was fantastic!!! My dad had an accident just as we arrived in the parking lot. I needed to get him inside the building without having all eyes on him, since he soiled his clothes. I did not want to cancel the appointment since we were already there. Once I called the receptionist to state what was was going on, she immediately got the nurse! And yes, it was the RIGHT one. Karen was so patient, kind, and considerate. She made us feel very comfortable. She exhibited an attitude which showed she cared and did not judge me for not being fully prepared for this urgent matter. She brought a gown and a wheelchair just as I had requested. Escorted us to a restroom where I could care for my dad properly and provided me with gloves. She informed me that the Dr. Would see another patient while we were getting prepared. When we were finished, we went to the waiting area as though nothing had happened. The visit went well. Karen checked on us several times while we were waiting. She also escorted us to the car after the visit, so I would not have to leave him and bring the chair back in. Karen is exceptional!!! And I found out from Dr. Beck that it was her birthday!! I felt so bad. She went ABOVE and BEYOND her job description for my dad and I. She exhibited true qualities of a nurse who is called to her profession. Because of Karen Mallow, the outcome of this event was excellent! It could have been much worse. Thank you Karen. My dad and I will always remember you!!! Hopefully , other nurses who are starting their career will take note of the level of care you provide for your patients. May God bless you.
