I am unsatisfied with how the office staff does not return calls. I have left several messages and emailed the staff and they do not respond to any messages. I believe admin should implement and reinforce this issue.
I just want to say that we are very lucky to have Dr. Mary Kay Koenig here in Houston. My son has mitochondrial disease and when he was first diagnosed, I didn't have a doctor for him and then I saw Dr. Koenig on the news. I called her right away. She got us in. My son, I believe, was around five at the time. Now he's [...] and she's been taking care of him all those years. She's a great doctor. She's caring. She's smart. She's always looking for new solutions and learning and we are just very blessed to have her here in Houston.
Seeing Dr. Koenig is always a wonderful experience and we look forward to going every year. I come away with confidence as a caregiver, ideas for new things to try, reassurance about potential issues and feeling like I was heard and important. Their approach is team-oriented and all the members are well-versed in my daughter's condition and work together to make anything necessary happen. We are able to contact the team between appointments to get recommendations, documentation and to have questions answered.
She is an exceptional doctor, both knowledgeable and personable. We trust our son's care under her advice and experience. I tell whomever needs to hear it to call this doctor!
Dr Koenig and her entire team, staff have always provided the best care and always willing to listen to me and my family. I feel extremely lucky and fortunate to have Dr Koenig as my doctor.
