Laura Farach, M.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth.
She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and American College of Medical Genetics.
Dr. Farach, a medical geneticist, loves teaching and is invested in the training of future pediatricians, geneticists, and genetic counselors.
Her clinical interests include all genetic disorders with a focus on neurogenetic disorders including autism, epilepsy, and Tuberous Sclerosis Complex.
Dr. Farach’s clinical research focus is in Tuberous Sclerosis Complex.

We were very impressed with the team that we dealt with. Our baby has been dealing with migraines for quite some time as she is only 2.5 yoa. We have had different workups done, seen several drs, having medical stays, er visits as well as have to travel to Cincinnati's Children's Headache Center for treatment-returning for a 4/23 appointment in fact. Several drs, to include hospitals here in Houston, not anyone affiliated with your staff, want to over medicate our child and we want the least amount of medication given as possible. It is very nice having your staff, as with other members with the UT Physicians Group, treating our baby as a person and not a number. Listening to our concerns and taking our questions seriously and acting as if we were their only appointment that entire day. We weren't rushed, they knew her medical history and the many workups and test results, which put us at ease. Thank you for such a kind and genuine staff.
The receptionist was very disconnected, did not have answers, said "I'm just filling in, I don't know anything". I was sent to wrong location so it was not communicated your location changed.
The provider only asked a few questions, didn't have any real answers to any of our questions regarding genetics and she is a pediatric genetic doctor! We were there 2 hours for just that.
Everything was perfectly fine, I would recommend it to anyone who needs the assistance of Dr. Farach and I was super impressed with the professional care, thank you very much.
