John McMonigle, PA-C, is a physician assistant in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.
He works alongside orthopedic surgeon Joshua Griffin, MD, and focuses on arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, knee, and ankle.
John received his bachelor’s degree in neurobiology from Centre College in 2006 and his master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Kettering College of Medical Arts in 2012. He has been working as a certified physician assistant in orthopedic surgery since 2012.
He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Outside of work, John loves to spend time with his wife Stacy, and their four boys. He is also involved in his church and enjoys hunting, fishing, sports, and gardening.

The wait is just too long. They need to get better at managing appt times especially since u guys request we get there 15 mins early. The appt was at 1:15 and I didn't get to the doc until 2:45.

Yes, this visit was absolutely amazing, great experience, well knowledgeable staff as well as the doctor. Very pleasant, just feedback and when I say probably one of the most urgent attentive doctors that I have witnessed in my 45 years. Yes, very great, I would encourage anyone to go see them.

My experience was great the past two times I was at UT Physicians, everyone was very helpful and considerate and nice
John was absolutely wonderful and Tracy was there to hold my hand during the gel injections in both knees to give me moral support as I'm afraid of needles.
The office is ran with great efficiency. I never have to wait past my appointment time. Everyone is very friendly. John and Dr Griffin are super! I have been a patient there for 10 years. I recommend them to all my friends.

Yes, I had been there three years prior and seen Dr. Clint Johnson and he did a wonderful job and I have the same thing with the doctor that I'm seeing now, Clifford. We did have a little problem with the front desk. I'll let my wife explain that. The front desk, gentlemen, needs to learn customer service. Other than that, it was a great experience (INAUDIBLE). Thank you.
I would just like to say Dr. John McGonigal and Griffin, along with all the staff and nurses have been great. They've taken care of my 13-year-old, I mean my 14-year-old to the absolute best service in the position where she is right now. Anywhere we could have gone, I wouldn't recommend anywhere else but them. And as well as their referrals as far as physical therapy. They've been great and they took care of my daughter and I wouldn't bring her anywhere else.
