Hughes takes a collaborative approach to treat trauma and PTSD in children and adults. Working with the patient, she develops a personalized treatment plan using evidence-based practices. By using standardized assessments to help document and track sessions, patients are able to see their progress in real time.
As a certified infant mental health professional, Hughes is uniquely trained to treat PTSD in adolescents and adults. She also specializes in the treatment of trauma related to injury or medial trauma and works directly with orthopedic and trauma surgeons. Patients value her honesty and personable nature.
Hughes earned her license in 2015, and began practicing as an assistant professor of clinical psychiatry in New Orleans at the LSU Health Sciences Center and University Medical Center, a Level 1 Trauma Center. She recently moved to Houston in 2018 and works as an assistant professor of psychiatry at the UTHealth Trauma and Resilience Center.
All patient experience ratings and comments are submitted by actual patients and are received and validated by a leading independent survey company, NRC Health.
