Jayson K. Tomy, OD, has clinical interests in comprehensive eye exams, pediatric eye care, specialty contact lens fitting, treatment of dry eye, management of glaucoma, and the co-management of patients after ocular surgeries.
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Tomy earned his doctorate in optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry. He has practiced in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Greater Houston metropolitan areas.

The front staff was nice but the service was horrible. [...] moved me to a wrong doctor, I originally was scheduled for a retina specialist because of my eye history and was told I have to see Dr.Tommy. I wasted my money because he did nothing, couldn't view my medical records to see what my condition was because I have been seen there since I was a baby. I used to have Dr.Hitner, and she retired so she told me I would have to be seen by a retina specialist moving forward which is what I was scheduled for but [...] kept insisting I was seeing the wrong doctor. I basically wasted my money, I went in no one knew how to treat me and I was unable to get contacts. Now I have to go back to see a retina specialist and waste more money. I'm a cash paying patient due to not having insurance and am very unhappy with my service. Dr.tommy just scared me making it seem like I was going to go blind in my left eye. He is a regular eye doctor and I need to be seen by a retina specialist again due to my medical history but [...] kept insisting to see Dr.tommy.
Dr Tomy and the team were excellent. Took their time to explain everything to me, making me feel very comfortable with the entire experience.

Dr. Tomy is wonderful. He is so kind and patient. He explains everything I need to know. The office team is great.
Tech: should be more careful when adding the drops in the eyes for dilation. She shouldn't have waited until the drops were running down to provide a tissue. Recommendation provide a tissue before adding the drops so you wont end up with medication on your checks and below.
