Both Dr Showery and Katie were outstanding.

Feb 25, 2025

Dr. Showery was very thorough with me and explained exactly what he thought was going on with my back and hip problems. He referred me for an MRi, gave me a prescription to help my pain, and gave me hope about my issues.

Dr Showery and his team are amazing!

Feb 14, 2025

I was treated very well by everyone. They gave me the option to always speak in Spanish and to answer me in Spanish because I don't speak English and I was satisfied with everyone's care.

Feb 14, 2025

Thank You

Dr Showery did an excellent job establishing himself as a knowledgeable expert in his field. Communication skills spot on.

Feb 7, 2025

Dr. Showery seems to be a great, knowledgeable physician. I was very pleased with his visit. BUT there definitely seems to be a problem with communication, getting questions answered from his Medical Assistant, not to mention names, but I have to, Katie Mejia, MA. (See the couple of questions sent to Katie and the response times?) This situation really makes me hope that Dr. Showery's communication is not this bad but it's just his staff's communication skills that need to be addressed. Maybe he is understaffed (?) I just don't know. But I have to say that it's a concern about Dr Showery's ability. You're only as good as the people that work for you. And I hope I'm wrong. I've been a UT Physician's patient for years (about 15) with a lot of different doctors there and this is the first time communication has ever been a concern or problem. Thank you.

I with me with kindness and understanding as I had actually come in a day early due to an error on my calendar They were so kind and were able to work my appointment into their schedule. I cannot thank them enough. It's a breath of fresh air to be treated like family!

I appreciate you all help thank you very much

Feb 4, 2025

Well, I called and wanted Dr. Showery to call me because I had some questions about the MRI he wanted me to get. I don't think I could lay on the table because of my back hurting and my leg hurting, and I've already had two MRIs within six months of having this MRI, so I just really don't know why I need to have it. Anyway, he hasn't called me. Thank you.

Feb 4, 2025

I was totally satisfied with Dr. Showery and Nurse Antonia, I can't remember her last name. Both of them were very professional and compassionate. They are also very knowledgeable.

Feb 4, 2025

I really appreciated Dr. Showery showing me my MRI scans and explaining them to me in detail. No doctor prior to has really done that. It gave me a lot of clarity.

Feb 4, 2025

I arrived early and Xray came and got me just as was sitting in the waiting area. She escorted me to an examination room about 10am. Dr Showery's assistant came in around 10:15 to check bp, oxygen, etc ( appointment was at 10am) I didn't see the doctor until 10:45. This was a follow-up from my December surgery. The only issue with this visit was the 45 minutes I was waiting in the examination room. Usually, they are on time or in many cases, early. This not a complaint. I'm sure the doctor had other things going on. The majority of time the doctors of UT are on time or even early. Their care is great. The doctors and associates make you feel like you're their only patient.

I can't rave enough about the personalized approach, and care Dr Showery and his assistant Ada provided. Finally a physician who listens and feels connected to his patients. Utterly professional and knowledgeable, Ada and Dr Showery have exceeded my expectations. Excellent bedside manners, and a clear, "no bs" communication. Thank you again for making me feel heard, understood and validated.

Incredibly positive. My appointment was at 1:20. The doctor walked in at 1:20!!!! Can't remember when that last happened for me at the age of 61, for me or any members of my family. Felt listened to, AND did not feel rushed in any way! Wish he could be my PCP!
