This was the best experience I've had with the Sickle Cell Center at UT in all the years I've been a patient. The new staff listen, don't judge and seem to truly want to help and encourage. No guilt trips for choosing or not choosing between the care options offered. The facility is also better than the old Binz location and I appreciated being able to have treatment in the exam room with privacy. Thank you to the staff for being you!

The sickle cell clinic has been very informative and professional. My son has enjoyed visiting this clinic and interacting with the staff.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the care I have received at UT Physicians Clinic. My recent experiences have been extremely stressful and have significantly hindered my ability to manage my health effectively. When I arrived for my last appointment, the receptionist was not at the desk, and I had to wait 20 minutes to check in. This delay caused me to be late for my appointment, despite arriving on time. Additionally, I have not been prescribed any medication for my sickle cell pain since October. It is now December, and my pain has been left unaddressed. Furthermore, my appointment with the pain management doctor was canceled without my consent, and I was refused care when I visited the clinic. This has left me feeling unsupported and deeply frustrated, as my pain and health concerns remain untreated. I do not reside in Harris County, yet I drive to this clinic for care, only to be treated poorly and made to feel as though I am being set up for failure. These experiences have caused me significant emotional distress, and I no longer wish to continue my care at this clinic. I expect UT Physicians to take my concerns seriously and address these issues promptly. Please let me know the appropriate next steps to escalate this matter, as I am also consulting with legal counsel regarding these incidents.

[...] Jacquilene was very nice. [...] was very nice. I've been going there for a while. It was always nice. And the people at the front desk were amazing. I had a great time. Definitely can't wait to come back. I am going to do that telemedicine though, but definitely can't wait to go back. And I hope things are a lot better. I hope to see you guys again. And that's pretty much it. I'm so glad I got those shots and all the tests and everything. But thank you guys for helping me out. And I hope that in the future I can help you guys too. Bye.

The Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center is the only place I will go for care as they know their stuff. I am more than a number, I am a person treated with dignity and respect. I am seen.
