Jacquelyn Okeke is a licensed clinical social worker who provides therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. She utilizes a patient-centered approach and works with her patients to devise the best treatment plan based on their current needs. Her positive attitude helps motivate her patients physically, emotionally, spiritually, and puts their worries at ease
Her clinical work focuses on the use of psychotherapy to treat a wide variety of issues, including depression, trauma, anxiety, family conflicts, relationship difficulties, grief, bereavement, and adjustment issues. She has extensive knowledge of the child welfare system, including foster care and adoption.
Okeke’s experience working in a hospital setting and expertise allows her to provide evidence-based treatments, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, psychoanalysis, humanistic psychology, Gestalt therapy, narrative therapy, and eclectic and interpersonal social rhythm therapy.
Okeke received her master’s degree in social work and has a national trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy certification. Most recently, Okeke received qualifications to provide treatments for trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder using cognitive processing therapy.
Outside of a clinical setting, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family and friends.
