Jacqueline M. Placette, MD, is originally from Massachusetts. She obtained her medical degree at The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences. Her residency training was at Phoenix Integrated Residency in obstetrics and gynecology, a combined residency program in Arizona from both Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center & Maricopa Medical Center Integrated Health System (now called Valleywise Health). Both programs are affiliated with two different academic institutions, Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance & University of Arizona College of Medicine.
Placette performed a clinical fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Inova Fairfax Women’s Hospital. There, she was also an assistant clinical professor at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. After relocating to Texas, she was in private practice in Cypress & Houston, Texas.
In 2022, Placette joined UTHealth Houston and UT Physicians to pursue her passion in high-risk obstetrics. She sees teens and adults in the Greater Houston area. In her free time, Placette enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, mountain biking, baking, gaming, and reading science fiction.

My appointment time was for 10:30am which I was 20 minutes late to because I was unable to find parking. At about 11am, I was sent to the room to wait for the doctor and waited there until about 12pm-12:30pm to see the doctor, just for the appointment to be a waste of my time. The interaction between the doctor and I took less than five minutes which involved Doctor Jacqueline using a hand- held ultrasound device that was only able to hear the heart beats ,that's all. She didn't have anything else for me which I shouldn't have waited over a hour for something so simple.
I am switching to IT after years of history at Methodist and I couldn't be happier that I made this switch. 10/10 service. Better than I ever received at Methodist.
