Hikari Ward, LCSW, is a senior social worker in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Ward provides therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. She utilizes evidence-based treatments to treat depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, adjustment, crisis, and grief/loss. She has an extensive background working with immigrants and refugees, unaccompanied alien children, survivors of human trafficking, elderly and long-term care, and vulnerable populations.
Ward’s clinical training includes cognitive processing therapy, prolonged exposure therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy skills, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and unified protocol for children and adolescents.

It is going to be difficult in letting her go. My therapist was fantastic and I will miss her very much. She has helped more than I ever expected. During my most difficult time in my life she was there. I know that I would not be here today if it wasn't for her. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
