About

Dr. Eric Berkman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).

Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Berkman specializes in General Orthopedics with an emphasis on Total Joint Reconstruction and injuries of the knee and shoulder.

Dr. Berkman has been in Houston since the 1960’s. He treats his patients with individual care as each patient has unique set of injuries and issues at hand. His number one referral patterns are from friends, past patients, and schoolmates from The University of Texas in Austin. His training has allowed him to specialize in cutting edge treatments of the knee and shoulder. Most treatments are conservative and non-surgical. If conservative treatment fails, he will give personalized surgical care to each patient in a state-of-the-art facility at Memorial Hermann Orthopedic and Spine Hospital.
