Elena Nicole Zamora, MD, MHA, is a native Houstonian. She graduated from the American University of Antigua and completed her residency training at UTHealth Houston.
Her areas of interest include lifestyle medicine, weight management, and migraines. Zamora treats infants, children, teens, adults, and seniors. She has a well-rounded approach focusing on the physical and mental well-being of her patients. Zamora believes in talking with patients about how they care for themselves, manage stress, and have balance in their lives. She feels strongly about the power of restorative sleep and social connection and actively works to avoid the use of risky substances with patients.
Zamora previously served as the resident director on the board of directors at the Texas Academy of Family Physicians. Currently, she serves on the Council of Medical Practice.
She has been recognized with numerous teaching awards, including the Faculty for Tomorrow award from the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine and McGovern Medical School’s Champions of the Clinical Learning Environment.
She takes time to educate the community through various health news segments both in English and Spanish. In her free time, Zamora enjoys running, practicing visualization, positive affirmations, and mentorships.

My experience seeing Dr. Zamora and her staff has always been great. Everyone is so sweet and welcoming. Parking is the only issue. Is so complicated to get around.
My experience was OK, I'm just not a fan of TeleMed. I prefer in office visits. Going forward, I will have my visits with my physician in person. I will use TeleMed when I can't make it into the office.
Dr. Zamora was very informative, she was very respectful. She took her time to listen to exactly what was wrong for me. And I think she made a great referral. Also her staff. Whenever my kids was (INAUDIBLE) when I was having a really bad anxiety (INAUDIBLE). And they took the time to explain and also give me tips in order to make better healthy decisions as far as eating or making sure that at the end of the call that I had all the information that I needed.
Dr Zamora was fantastic as usual. She is a wonderful provider and I am happy to have her as my doctor. Special shout out to Ruth, nursing student, who took excellent care of me as well. Good bedside manner and knowledge. Thanks!
Dr Zamora is the best
Dr. Zamora was well prepared for our appointment she didn't just glance over my chart she actually read my chart - she referenced lots of things as we discussed matters that I had concerns about - she didn't have to stop she was right on top of it. She showed interest and had answers for questions. I was impressed with Dr. Zamora and her staff - I feel well taken care of!

I have had a lot of physicians in my life and Dr Zamora is one of the best I have ever experienced. She is prepared for my case when we meet, she listens extremely well and offers details w/o hesitation when asked to do so. Her knowledge is first rate and enjoys her work, it comes through.
