Dr. Peter Sabonghy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). He currently serves as Medical Director of the Ironman Sports Medicine Institute at Memorial City.
Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Sabonghy specializes in Sports Medicine with an emphasis on reconstructive shoulder surgery.

Doctors Abraham a Sabonghy were both very helpful and provided adequate information and treatment. I was initially anxious about my condition, but I now feel better about it, although it's still ongoing. The entire staff has been friendly and professional.

Dr Sabonghy made me feel so much better i actually fell asleep on the way home relaxed and comfortable and the staff is wonderful
The only reason I gave a 9 when asked about how I was treated was because the person that checked me in at the front desk did a poor job. She didn't even look me in the eye when speaking to me. I asked explicitly "am I checked in?" She said yes, but never looked up from her computer. After 25 minutes in the waiting room, the nurse called me on my cell phone asking me if I was on my way. Turns out, the person at the front desk whose job it is to check people in, and who told me I was checked in, had not actually checked me in. Thanks to the care and diligence of Dr. Sabonghy's nurse I was called into the exam room!
