Shae’s career in sports medicine was ignited by her passion for athletics. She grew up north of Houston and played volleyball, basketball, and boy’s baseball. Shae attended the University of Nebraska, where she played shortstop and completed her bachelor’s degree in exercise science. After college, she went on to play for the Colorado Silver Bullets women’s professional baseball team. The Silver Bullets were inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York, in 1995. After retirement from professional sports, Shae attended physician assistant school at Red Rocks College in Lakewood, Colorado, and completed her master’s degree through Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania. She has undergone two right shoulder surgeries and a right knee ACL reconstruction. Shae has been working in sports medicine since 2007.

She did the HA shot on my both knees. When asked whether or not I would mind if PA handle it when doctor is running behind. I asked her if she is confident. She said YES and she's been doing for many years. Indeed, she has done a beautiful job on me. She reminded me some important things after shots. Excellent job as good as the doctor. She can do my next two visits if the boss is okayed.
