Daron Moreno, PA-C, earned his undergraduate degree in environmental engineering in 2004 at the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, and served eight years as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army. While there, Moreno attended U.S. Army Ranger School and earned the Ranger tab worn by elite soldiers. He deployed to a combat theater of operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. He served in multiple leadership roles, including platoon leader and company commander. Following eight years of active duty, which included three combat deployments, Moreno left to pursue a master’s in physician assistant studies. He graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in 2017, earning two awards. He was given the Henry D. McIntosh Award, awarded to the graduating physician assistant student who, in the opinion of classmates and faculty, has achieved the highest degree of academic excellence and service and best exemplifies the physician assistant’s concept. Moreno was also given the Alumni Association Lehmann Outstanding Student Award, given annually to students who display the qualities integral to Baylor College of Medicine’s values.
After graduation, Moreno joined a practice where he specialized in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. Moreno’s focus was on shoulder and knee sports-related injuries as well as shoulder reconstruction. He first assisted in over 2,000 orthopedic surgery cases and took general surgery calls on the weekends.
In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and perfecting the art of smoking BBQ.

Yes, Mr. Moreno was knowledgeable. He knew about my history. He knew what to tell me as far as treatment. He was able to answer all my questions. He did a thorough evaluation. I was very impressed as somebody who has had other ailments and surgeries and joint issues. He was by far the best that I had seen for a first visit. Thank you very much.

The only issue I had was pain management post surgery. There was contradictory directives more than once.

I can't say enough good things about the care I've received from Dr. [...], and all his people. I think it's the happiest Dr's office I've ever been in. Everyone has been wonderfully competent, from doing battle with my insurance company, to being sure I had all the follow up physical therapy I needed. Daron Moreno has been particularly good with his care, and communication. I've had no problems with my surgery, or my following care, and when I've had concerns, Daron has reassured me that I'm doing well, and keep doing my exercises!
As a new patient I was extremely impressed with the thorough examination of my elbow and neck. Daron was very detailed, kind, and knowledgeable. Although I knew I only needed PT, he attended to every issue and pain that I was dealing with, without me telling him. [...] in X-ray was very kind and compassionate. When she recognized that some of the positions were uncomfortable for me, she demonstrated empathy and made sure to position my arm as gentle as possible. I was very appreciative. The entire team was amazing!!! Thank you!!
