Danielle Milanowski, NP, is a nurse practitioner in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. She sees patients of all ages and is dual-certified in family practice and acute care.
Milanowski specializes in sports medicine injuries and total joint replacement. She works alongside orthopedic surgeons A. Brant Lipscomb, MD, and Braden Hartline, MD.
Milanowski received her bachelor’s degree in biology and nursing from the University of Washington. While there, she played softball for the University of Washington, earning Rookie of the Year in 2007, all-academic awards, and winning a national championship in 2009 with her team. She then received her master’s degree in nursing as a family nurse practitioner from Vanderbilt University in Tennessee. In 2020, she went on to earn her postgraduate certification to become an acute care nurse practitioner.
She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau honor society for nursing.
When not treating patients, Milanowski enjoys traveling, trying out Houston’s new restaurants, and spending time with her kids, Jack and Olivia, and her husband, Fred.

All went well. I am very satisfied with my treatment.
The wait time was definitely unreasonable, and I was just about to leave when Danielle came in to see me. Providers definitely need to remember that their patients' time is just as important as theirs, and some of us are losing work time to see them. If they get that far behind - this particular case was an hour - alternative arrangements should be made available. The announcement for others in the practice was made in the waiting area; I am not sure why it was not done for my provider. To be fair, Danielle was very apologetic and was thorough with me during my appointment. I just know that I allow 30 minutes normally, and that is the time frame I will allow if it happens again.
Everything went well.
All staff were extremely friendly and competent. Excellent experience.
Good worker
Everyone did really a good job. Danielle was nice and this is the first time I met her, but she did phenomenal in answering my questions and helping me. So kudos to everybody there. They did, y'all did a great job.

Danielle is wonderful and caring and very good at what she does in her profession.
I didn't appreciate being left in the waits area for 50 minutes. If I had not went and asked if they had forgotten me, I'm not sure how long the wait would have been. After that it went better.

Hello, this is [...] and I just wanted to say I'm very here with a... Oh, I'm very happy with the treatment and care that I have received with UT physicians and everybody in the entire facility, the workers, the nurses, the doctors, everything is very, very well done, cooperated at. And I'm happy there with the physicians that I have found. Dr. Hartline, his nurse practitioner, everyone there. If I ever met anybody who had a knee or leg problem, I would definitely recommend them. And thank you very much. My legs or my knee is much better than it was before I came in.

I had a steroid injection and I felt so much better the next day which the last time I had it at another provider, I did not. She was very personable and actually knew about my rare autoimmune disease, which made it very helpful.

The atmosphere when I went into surgery was very uplifting, light, peaceful, happy, and I really appreciated everyone's attitude of positive and as if this was an important but that was going to be handled and was going to come out great. I super appreciated that attitude.
