Dr. Kim is a is a terrific person and a great asset to the medical field. U/T and McGovern school are very blessed to have him on your staff
He needed MRI to determine the next step.
Visit time was extremely short despite getting major news about diagnosis/MRI results severity and major unexpected surgery news. I felt provider was busy/in a rush, and the clear impression was that he did not have enough time to listen fully to concerns, feelings, etc, which I somewhat understand in the setting of a very busy neurosurgeon's day to day, but also don't think it's ok for great patient care. Baton was passed quickly to PA for surgery explanation and was left with many unanswered questions and very uncertain, scared feeling. What may seem like an easy, routine surgery to the office and providers is actually huge and scary to me, but I did not feel the empathy or sensitivity was completely there. We did not go over other options, risks, complications, more important things. Now that I've finally had a chance to read over brochures and somewhat process info, I communicated important questions via My Chart as told, but no significant response, and seems no one is there to cover for PA either when out of office for 1+ week? A little worried about communication afterwards in the unfortunate event that I have complications post op or need help. Had to schedule a whole new appt again just to ask questions, which is extra commute time, fairly far travel, stress and money, but still need the info and questions answered so of course will do what is needed. The whole process of having to see PA, then get imaging ordered and done, then see Dr to get results, then schedule another appt to ask questions, etc with wait times in between each appt, has just been long and frustrating and seems to delay care. Maybe it was just a very busy day on that day, but 10-20 minutes per patient is absolutely not enough. Hoping my next appt goes well and I have better feelings after getting all my questions asked and another opportunity for care and compassion. I do trust his medical and surgical expertise however and know he is a renowned, amazing and advanced neurosurgeon with numerous years under his belt, so this does give me confidence.
I am very happy with all the help from the entire department that works with Dr. Daniel Kim.
Great dr and staff
Dr. Kim was very knowledgeable about my condition and had viewed my films and reports prior to my visit. Therefore, he knew exactly what to expect and gave me excellent, excellent recommendations on what to do. I appreciate him and his staff very much.
Thank you for listening and understanding how I am feeling. Thank you Dr. Kim!!!
After my surgery I dr. Daniel Kim had my complete trust and he still does
While the doctor is very qualified, he was abrupt and very rushed. Wasn't listening to my concerns
Great experience, on time appointment, little to know waiting
Handsome & Very Smart Neurosurgeon: And Had Awesome Experience
Dr. Kim was great! I liked the discussion and will follow-up in a year as recommended.
Dr. Kim is a great doctor, and I am glad he did my surgery. He has a great personality and bedside manner.
Because I fill that he lied to me when I first came their it was like he said .From me being into so much pain that the next time I come back he will talk to me about my insurance and a stent our stem to prevent the pain but no when I came back it was like he did not even speak of anything ,so know I will not be coming back due to lies that's why my doctor send me to him to see if he can help
The staff, nurses and Dr. Kim were welcoming, answered questions, and made me feel like I have a path forward.

Very good
I called this morning to request a sedative for the three MRIs that I'm going to have because I'm extremely claustrophobic and I haven't heard anything back yet.
Everyone is very good. I especially want to thank Stephanie Denmen for going out of her way to help me with a problem.
Dr. Kim treated me with intelligence, and wisdom. I appreciate his valuable time. He also answered all my questions. Thank you Memorial Hermann for having him on your squad!
all around good experience
Pleased with everything
Excellent staff and communication. The surgery was successful and this follow-up was helpful as I'm reaching the next level of abilities, but a minor setback from overdoing it.
