Danica J Lapid, MD, is enthusiastic about providing evidence-based, patient-centered care for her patients. She wants her patients to feel heard and empowered throughout the treatment process.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Professional Studies and Psychology at the University of Notre Dame, Lapid returned home for medical school at the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. With an interest in women’s health, she additionally pursued a dual degree in Master of Public Health at the UTHealth Houston School of Public Health.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, cooking, trying new restaurants in the Houston area, and doing DIY projects.

It was my first time to the building and it was hard to find the building. Also, being unable to locate the building amongst construction, I was unsure where to park. Including the cross street would have been helpful. Other than that, it was an overall pleasant experience.
Dr. Lapid is excellent and kind. She answered all of my questions and provided additional counseling. She was efficient without the visit feeling rushed. I look forward to continuing to go to her for obstetric/gynecologic needs!

While my actual office visit was good, parking and trying to find the office was difficult.
I had an exceptional experience during this visit. I had zero wait time. Literally, I was called back as I was checking in and checking wristbands. Dr. Lapid and the staff were absolutely exceptional. Dr. Lapid provided enough information and education. I shared negative experiences I had previously, and she acknowledged my experience and put me at ease throughout my visit. She spoke to me as an educated person, which I appreciated, and gave me options to address my concerns. I would highly recommend her and the practice to others!

I came in for an IUD replacement. The doctor was great but I think it's important to stay up to date on pain management for womens care. For example, ProNox (nitrous oxide) is starting to be deployed at other offices in other states for IUD placement. The cost is approximately $125 for an hour. Even my dermatologist uses ProNox. But that is not why I gave a lower rating. The MA was defensive when I said I will not provide my last period date but that it is regular. This is due to the political climate coupled with the history of lacking research into - and respect for - womens health. After the overturn of Roe v. Wade, I no longer provide this information unless I'm convinced it's absolutely needed for my care that day, which it was not. [...]
I cannot say enough good things about my experience at this clinic! My doctor was absolutely incredible-attentive, compassionate, and thorough. The front desk staff and medical assistant were equally impressive, going above and beyond to ensure I felt welcomed and cared for throughout my visit. I've never had a better experience in a medical setting, and that means so much to me, both as a patient and as someone who works in healthcare. I'm truly grateful for the exceptional care I received and highly recommend this team to anyone seeking a top-notch experience!
