Cheryl L. Samuels, NP, is a pediatric nurse practitioner at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth. She works in pediatric urology and is the coordinator of the spina bifida clinic at UT Physicians.
Previously, she has also worked at Shriners Hospitals for Children working with pediatric patients with spina bifida, osteogenesis imperfecta, and cerebral palsy. Prior to that, she worked at UT Physicians High Risk Children’s Clinic and various pediatric primary care offices.
Samuels has authored and co-authored many articles on a variety of pediatric topics including the role of the nurse practitioner, medically complex children, and comprehensive care for medically complex children in a medical home. She has presented at several national pediatric nurse practitioner conferences on a variety of pediatric topics.

The services and facility were amazing. The only complaint I have is y'all should validate parking for the patients and especially for the staff as well.

Check in was fast and friendly. Great environment for kids. SAMUELS WAS AMAZING!!! I can't tell you how many times my child has felt weird for wetting the bed at age 12, but Samuels made her feel normal and heard. Excited to start this journey forward. Thank you so much for all you guys do!
Cheryl was amazing! [...] She did a phenomenal job making sure that not only did I understand everything that we spoke about, but so did my[..]. I appreciate that she talked with [...] and treated [..] as the patient and discussed concerns and treatment with [..] was able to go home and tell [...] year old brother about how kidneys function and why [..] is having the issues [..] is having.
From the front desk to the nurses the provider and every one I met there are so sweet and professional it was a beautiful experience and they ease me of lots of my worries about my sons health if they will see this Thank you for all you do

Staff and provider were amazing. Even with system's running slow due to the storm the front desk rep kept her composure. The nurse and provider were amazing and explained everything in a way my daughter and I understood.
Not only was she able to diagnose the situation fairly quickly she also offered to introduce the surgeon to us that would be performing the procedure on my son. We also met him and he was fabulous.
Everyone was helpful and supportive! Great visit.
