Braden Hartline, MD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.
Dr. Hartline is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee replacement. Dr. Hartline’s clinic focus is on primary (first time) hip and knee replacement along with revision (redo) hip and knee replacement. He creates individualized treatment plans for patients based on their desired activity level and the amount of disease that is present. Coupled with a personal approach, Dr. Hartline utilizes and is trained on the most up-to-date surgical practices, including but not limited to; anterior hip replacement, hip resurfacing, and robotic-assisted joint replacement.
Dr. Hartline joined UT Physicians Orthopedics after completing a fellowship in adult reconstruction (total joint replacement) at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to his fellowship training, he completed his residency at The University of Texas at Houston. In addition to his surgical training, he was involved in orthopedic clinical and patient outcome-based research. He completed two post-doctoral research years in orthopedic research. These years in research molded his focus on patient outcomes and guiding treatment to maximize patient outcomes.
Dr. Hartline is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS). He continues to be active in research activities to further improve the orthopedic profession.
Dr. Hartline is a native Texan and Houstonian. When not busy with patient responsibilities, he enjoys spending time in and around the Houston community with his wife, Kim, and their two daughters.

The wait time is always way too long. You want me to be there early for my appointments, but yet I end up waiting at least an hour past my appointment time. This is disrespectful of your patient's time.

You require check in 15 mins before appt. I had filled out the paperwork online before my arrival to the office. While standing in line to check in at the desk I had received an email asking where was I. I had chosen not to check in online since I still have to check in at the desk. I understand the wait before seeing the Dr but no one told me an approx wait time.
There was no waiting time! Barely had time to potty. The whole time being there was about 25 minutes. Everyone was nice & professional. Dr. Hartline was professional & didn't rush thru answering my questions. Very happy with UT.
