Dr. Bobby Nix is an Assistant Professor for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).
Dr. Nix sees patients from age 18 to 65. He believes in educating his patients so they have a better understanding of their condition and treatment options. He also works with patients to better manage their mental health.
Dr. Nix is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Psychiatric Association, American Society of Addiction Medicine, Texas Society of Psychiatric Physicians, Houston Psychiatric Society and more. Dr. Nix has also received the UT McGovern Medical School Dean’s Teaching Excellence Award for 2013, 2014 and 2015.
When Dr. Nix is not caring for his patients, he enjoys working in his yard and spending time with his family.
