Asha R. Cherian is a nurse practitioner (NP) who sees patients 12 years and older in the Greater Houston area. She received her degree from Walden University in 2014. She has worked in oncology nursing with leukemia patients, as well as in community-based clinics in underserved areas in Texas and California.
Cherian strives to instill hope and faith in all of her patients. She tailors evidence-based care plans to each person. She believes the best outcomes can be achieved with a strong patient-provider relationship that includes mutual respect and understanding.
Her patients value the genuine conversations that allow them to have input on their own health care plan. This reinforces compliance and approachability. Additionally, Cherian’s practice has easy access to multispecialty clinics and the ability to quickly make referrals to UTHealth Houston specialists.
Cherian is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Texas Nurse Association. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and cooking.
