Asha R. Cherian is a board-certified nurse practitioner (NP) who sees family medicine patients 12 years and older. She tailors evidence-based care plans to each person and strives to instill hope in all her patients. Cherian believes the best outcomes can be achieved with a strong patient-provider relationship that includes mutual respect and understanding. Her patients value the genuine conversations that allow them to have input on their health care plan.
Cherian received her degree from Walden University in 2014. She has worked in oncology nursing with leukemia patients and in community-based clinics in underserved areas in Texas and California.
She’s a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Texas Nurse Association.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and cooking.

First time on a medical video conference. Went well
Overall not happy. Just did not feel treated correctly. I scheduled for a follow up from an ER visit and told them what would be needed over the phone was not told I would have to schedule labs. Wasted a day off of work to do my follow up and now will have to miss more time
My visit was on Thursday, I wrote a reply on Friday asking for an MRI request so I could send it to the orthopedic Dr. not hear back. On Monday I left a voice mail still no response. I have had pain in my hip for over four weeks. I can't walk in a store for long without pain, cook meals, laundry etc. I've been on medication since Thursday...it's not improving...please answer my question about how I can get and M RI so I can find out what is wrong with my hip.
I received excellent care during my visit with Asha Cherian, and her nurse was great.
I really love Dr. Cherian. I ask for her every time and have been doing that ever since the first time that she was my nurse practitioner.
Asha listened to my questions and concerns. She was very thorough in providing care options. She took the time to address my concerns.
Good visit with her and feeling better now. Had one prescription.

Prescribed medication to a pharmacy that does not carry/sell that medication. Was nonresponsive to request from Pharmacy for alternative medication. She was unresponsive to my MyChart message for an alternate medication. I am now going three days with no medication because of lack of reviewing follow up notes by physician

Today,received call back from Dr. Received my blood work said my Kidneys need help I need to get hydrated and stay hydrated. Continue to take lisinopril and the rest of my medications. It could keep you from having a heart attack.

Horrible visit, worst I've had. I need my prescription filled. And it has not been done. This visit makes me not want to come back again, for any of your doctors. It's a shame I really like some of them.

Between she and Thy Tran I know I am getting good care. Also I feel confident that if they can't find a solution they will find me someone who can help. Thank You
