Arnoldo Treviño, OD, has clinical interests in contact lenses, primary care, and low vision.
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in biology from The University of Texas at San Antonio, Dr. Treviño earned his doctorate in optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry, where he received the Dr. Charles R. Briggs Endowment scholarship to promote study of the cornea and contact lenses.
He completed residency training in low vision and ocular disease at the Illinois College of Optometry and The Chicago Lighthouse, where he was recognized with the Optelec Excellence in Low Vision Award. He joins the faculty at McGovern Medical School from Eye to Eye in The Heights in Houston.
Dr. Treviño is fluent in Spanish and an active member of the American Academy of Optometry and the Texas Optometric Association.

He was very informative, very caring, had great manners. He explained everything in detail. And also he had a student and he was good also. He was very informative also. He was letting me know everything about my eyes. He was very gentle with doing the, cleaning the machine and everything and doing the test. Upon arrival there was some issues with being seen. I'm not sure, but I believe the lady was a supervisor helped. She answered questions from the lady at check-in and resolved thee minor issue. I was checked in and seen in less than 30 mins. My experience was excellent and I am now a established patient.
It felt like the front desk staff and back office staff were not terribly happy. When I put my coversheet in the black tray in the waiting area, no one looked up from what they were doing to acknowledge me (one person was engrossed in her cell phone). I heard the providers having to cajole the staff to help them. I've been a patient at this clinic for years and it felt different this time from a staff engagement perspective.

I was very impressed with the eye doctor. He did a great job. I was very impressed with the gentleman that made my glasses, Mr. Field. He made them in two days. I really appreciate everybody's help in getting my eyes checked and the glasses done. Thank you very much.
Access to the parking garage is very confusing, and the cost of the parking seems very expensive. I think I would prefer using a provider that is out of the medical center area, such as the building on West Loop where I see Dr. Zhu.
Routine eye exam for contacts so no need to discuss illness or injury prevention. Dr. Trevino and all staff were very courteous and welcoming. It's always a pleasure visiting this clinic.

Everybody that I dealt with was A+. The doctor was knowledgeable, worked with me, understood what I was dealing with health-wise and how that may affect my eyes. When I needed to take extra time to blink, he was patient, helped me get the right prescription. Every person that I've interacted with, again, was phenomenal.
