Annie Scheckter, PA-C, serves as a member of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. Since 2014, Scheckter has worked alongside Matthew E. Koepplinger, DO, specializing in hand and upper extremity in elective and trauma surgery.
Scheckter is involved in the full spectrum of care, having assisted with numerous surgeries and seeing patients in the clinic and hospital settings. Before her career as a physician assistant, Scheckter was an occupational therapist, working in pediatrics for four years and adult rehabilitation for one year.
Scheckter is an active member of both the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants.
Outside of work, Scheckter loves cooking, yoga, traveling, and spending time with her husband Neil and their three children.

Yeah, her experience at the hospital was exceptionally bad. Her reception and treatment at his office and your office was actually very good.
Inconsistent follow up. I had to change insurance, only to follow up
She was very knowledgeable about my problem. She gave me tools to help with the problem. And she said that we would follow up in a month because she wanted to make sure that the problem did not get worse.
I was very happy with my experience...and my husband and I can say that about all the UT Physicians we have seen. Because I live [...] hrs away we got there early and they took me right in. I saw Annie, the PA, first and she examined me and was very thorough and informative. Then Dr. [...] came in and did the same. They both made sure my husband understood everything also. Both were professional, yet friendly and personable. Will definitely recommend them to others.
I had no wait time; seen quickly. Very professional; answered all questions with answers I could understand. Made me feel like they cared about me not just on a medical leverl but also on a personal level.

Had a hard time parking
Dr Scheckter provided excellent education/information to help me know how to best care for my injury during the healing process. She explained X-rays & provided much appreciated feedback. Dr. [...] also briefly joined the encounter so it was nice to see the two collaborate for my continuing care.
