Dr. Anne Dougherty is a board certified Physician and Professor in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).
Dr. Dougherty is the recipient of many honors and awards, including Top Doctor by US News and World Report in 2011, Outstanding Achievement in Clinical Service at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 1996, 1997 YWCA Outstanding Women of Achievement—Medicine, Science and Technology Award, and American Heart Association’s Paul Dudley White Award 1997-1998. She is past president of both the Houston Cardiology Society and the Houston Electrophysiology Society.
Long an advocate of responsible clinical research and the rights and welfare of human research participants, Dr. Dougherty has also promoted the appropriate representation of women in clinical research trials. She has been the Executive Chair of the Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects since 2004. In 2011, she assumed the role of Institutional Official and Vice President of the Human Research Protection Programs.

I didn't have any wait time they took me in immediately and did an EKG. The Dr said she wanted more proof as to what is happening to my heart. So I am wearing a heart monitor for two weeks. I think that was the correct to do.

Dr. Dougherty has been my physician for many, many years, and she's always sat and had a discussion with me before and after my examination. She always is very encouraging, and she's always very honest about her replies to the questions I give her.
Dr. Dougherty and her team do an excellent job. I thought I would mention that I was there about an hour early and they had me in and out before my appointment was scheduled to begin. (And they were not rushing me).
OUTSTANDING professionalism from everyone. Office staff treated everyone as it they were the only patients in the room. Pleasant and instructive to watch. Treatment staff listened carefully and asked followup questions. Explained why my symptoms were caused (or not). Provider (sorry, lost his name) was outstanding as well. All of my experiences with Dr Dougherty have been very good.
Appointment went very smoothly with little wait time between doctors.
My Zyrtec was discontinued, but no suggestion about a recommended alternative. I will now use Claritin, which I know is non-drowsy (one of my recent concerns) - but only when I got home, did I discover that the Zyrtec was removed from my medication list.
I am proud to know Dr. Dougherty and associates.
