Anna N. Sand, LCSW, received her master’s degree in social work from the University of Houston.
Sand has an extensive background in working with children and families on achieving optimal mental health. She utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques including play therapy, expressive arts and cognitive behavioral therapy.
She believes in taking a collaborative approach with parents and caregivers to find the best solutions for each child.
Sand also focuses on empowering children in their development and social interactions while enhancing individual strengths and healthy family relationships.

Dr. Sand has been very real and down to earth. She connects with me. She tries her best to help me in all of my issues, which are a lot. And she really makes me feel like I'm listened to and validated with the things that I'm going through. She has offered me so many skills and techniques to help with my trauma. And she's always concerned about how things are affecting me. I can't recommend her enough.
Anna seems very capable of helping me with my PTSD so I am hopeful
I've only seen my social worker Anna Sand twice and she is very professional, very kind. She shows emotion, she cares, she listens, she gets really involved and so far so good. So I really like her. I'm praying to God that she can help me get where I need to be and I think she can. I like her, she's very good.
Dr. Sand was very attentive and knowledgeable. She made me feel comfortable which is very important to me. Would definitely recommend her.

I love UT Physicians. You all do very well with partnering my daughter and I with great doctors and mental health providers and have helped me through a lot of hard times in my life. So I appreciate the staff.
Nothing but note I only wouldn't recommend this provider to everyone but I don't talk to many people about mental health in depth, and definitely don't often share my mental health issues. Otherwise it would be 9-10 recommendation (10 is a wizard who fixes most/all my mental health problems within days to weeks without horrible side or after effects).
