Amy Cockerham earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Clemson University in 1997 and her Master of Science degree in Nursing from Duke University in 2003. She is certified as a family nurse practitioner, since 2003.
Cockerham began working for the UT Physicians Orthopedic Trauma team at the Texas Medical Center in 2013 and has experience working in adult and pediatric orthopedic trauma since 2004. Cockerham is the lead coordinator for the advanced practice providers trauma team and is the nurse practitioner for Milton L. Routt Jr., MD.
When not seeing patients, Cockerham enjoys photography, yoga, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Brent, and their children, Ryan, Andrew and Shaela.

Still have not met the doctor who did the surgery. I don't think a face to face meeting is asking too much. Just to say I laid eyes on him. I find it unusual. And a little discourteous.
