Amber R. Jarrell, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician dedicated to promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of children from birth through adolescence. Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, she relocated to Houston to further her career in pediatrics.
Jarrell earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She completed her pediatric residency at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge, where she served as chief resident of the primary care track.
With a focus on pediatric obesity, Jarrell is passionate about addressing this growing health concern. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new restaurants, strength training and pilates, and spending quality time with her loved ones.

Dr Jarrell is very attentive and thorough. My son had a rough morning and really doesn't like talking much but she was able to get my son to open up within 10 min of visit. Would highly recommend her to anyone!

I really like my experience. I've had my son since he was 8. So this was a new doctor for us and she was great. She made me feel really comfortable. She heard all my concerns and helped me to better care for her in the future. And overall, very happy. Thank you.
Dr. Jarrell and Nurse Cheryl and our nurse that we saw on March 3rd were very kind and patient with my son who is on the autism spectrum and sometimes that can make it a little bit challenging for things like taking vitals. But they were kind and compassionate and were patient with him and found ways to meet him where he was at so that they could get what they needed and he felt safe and comfortable.
The only negative thing was the front desk clerk who was very unfriendly, looked angry with whom or what, I don't know. The rest of the crew were very nice and helpful. They treated my injured son with compassion and care. I appreciate that.
The physician was awesome. She allowed us to ask questions and make comments towards my son's health or any other inquiries that I needed to know. They did, they helped me a lot and helped us understand what needed to be done in order to complete a goal. And my son was very satisfied with her help, with her assistance in what he needed for his issue. It was greatly appreciated the way she talked to us. She talked to us very well, excellent, sweet, and very knowledgeable in her field.

Loved the doctor, nurse and front desk staff. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.
My mother took my daughter to the doctors. But the doctor didn't give my daughter eye drops for her eyes. I had go back to urgent care to take her to get eye drops.
We are satisfied with the care that the girl has received and very satisfied because all the questions that we have asked and that we ask in each of the consultations are explained well by both the nurses and the doctor, so I think that the care has been satisfactory, thank you.
The entire staff is really great, from those that answer the phones, work check in, the nurses and the doctors.
