2024
Level 10 Gold Stars
UTHealth Houston earned Level 10 Gold Stars in 2024 for the third year in a row. This remarkable achievement is unmatched by any Texas health care organization. Only 10% of Epic customers globally earned this Level 10 award in 2024. Epic leaders and builders were recognized at the Epic Users Group Meeting.
Pinnacle of EHR Experience Award
UTHealth Houston earned the Pinnacle of EHR Experience Award from KLAS Research for improvements made in the EHR experience for nurses. Organizations received this award by boosting their EHR experience score into the top 25% of participating organizations. The university was one of 11 organizations to receive this award out of more than 300 participating institutions.
EHR Experience Breakthrough Recognition
UTHealth Houston received an EHR Experience Breakthrough recognition for significantly improving its NET EHR Experience Score for nurses. The honor is based on significantly improving our NET EHR Experience Score for nurses by 15 points or more in the latest KLAS survey. The university had double-digit increases in three areas. KLAS Arch Collaborative recognized UTHealth Houston with a coin.
2023

UTHealth Houston earned Level 10 Gold Stars in 2023 for the second year in a row. The university was the only Texas organization to achieve 10 Gold Stars in 2023 and achieve back-to-back recognition. Just 19 out of 450 Epic customers achieved 10 Gold Stars in 2023. Epic leaders and builders were recognized at the Epic Users Group Meeting.
2022
Level 10 Gold Stars
Epic recognized UTHealth Houston in 2022 with its highest Gold Stars rating, Level 10, in our first year of implementation. The Gold Stars program encourages continuous improvement by helping customers understand their strengths and where to focus in the future.
The university was the only health care institution in Houston to achieve this top level in 2022 and one of approximately 15 in the country.
Good Install Award
Epic awarded UTHealth Houston the Good Install award, which is given to new customers who excel in implementing the EHR system. Teamwork and collaboration across departments were significant factors in this success. The award recognized the university in eight areas: Efficient Clinicians, Value from Data, Staying Current, Test Your Build, Patient Experience, Knowledgeable Users, Operational Engagement, and Project Management.
