In addition to overseeing Houston’s most advanced targeted biopsy program, our multidisciplinary team of physicians provides innovative prostate cancer treatments in the U.S., such as , an outpatient focal therapy that precisely destroys cancer cells, spares tissue, speeds up recovery, and reduces side effects and complications.
Female Urology and Pelvic Reconstruction

Endourology and Kidney Stone Program
UT Physicians Urology is one of the few programs in the Greater Houston area to offer all treatments for kidney stones, including miniaturized surgery for complex stone disease (mini PCNL), laser procedures, and shockwave lithotripsy. The comprehensive patient-centered program collaborates with nephrologists, radiologists, and interventional radiologists to minimize treatment side effects and improve outcomes.
Men's Sexual Dysfunction

The university is proud to announce Rodrigo Donalisio da Silva, MD, has joined the Department of Surgery, Division of Urology with McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.
Donalisio da Silva is a specialized urologist with expertise in kidney stone disease, benign prostatic diseases, and minimally invasive urological surgery.
Born in Brazil, he completed medical and surgical training in Sao Paulo. After moving to the U.S., he completed a research fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York and an endourology and minimally invasive surgery fellowship at the University of Colorado Denver Health Medical Center.
